This month, our board member spotlight falls on Toni Serene. Toni has been on our Clinic’s Board for six years. She is currently the RN, School Nurse, at Bandera Middle School and has been since the 94-95 school year. She has been a registered nurse since 1969 which means she will be celebrating 50 years in the field this September!
Toni is a strong believer in the positive impact the Clinic has on Bandera County. Recently, we asked her what the most rewarding aspect of being a board member is. “The most rewarding aspect of being a board member for the Arthur Nagel Community Clinic is that I get to hear about the success stories of clients. Hearing about how many people we help, how many people whose lives are better, to me, that is the most rewarding aspect of being a board member.”
When asked why the Clinic is so important to the community Toni said, “We have had many success stories of caring for people and in doing so discovering life-threatening problems…I am sure it is comforting and stress-relieving for the patrons who use our facility to know that they will not have to worry about paying astronomical medical bills…We are a small clinic with a big heart.”
We couldn’t have said it any better. Thank you for all you do, not only at the Clinic but also for the youth of Bandera ISD. We appreciate you Toni!
