Toni Serene, R.N
Toni Serene, RN, has spent her life caring for others as an American Red Cross (ARC) teen volunteer “candy-striper” then as an adult ARC “Gray Lady,” then as a graduate nurse, and a registered nurse. For the last 22 years she has worked as a school nurse at Bandera Middle School. Prior to that, she travelled with her husband as he completed a 23-year Army career during which Toni volunteered most of her nursing care with the American Red Cross. She and her husband moved to Pipe Creek in 1994.
Why is Toni a member of the Arthur Nagel Community Clinic board? Because the clinic takes care of the health of people in need in Bandera. That is her personal definition of a nurse, one who helps take care of the health of others in need. By being a part of the clinic's board, Toni has helped make decisions that positively impact the health and well-being of the people of Bandera. She brings her daily experience as the Bandera Middle School nurse to advise the clinic board about healthcare needs beyond those in the clinic.
