Volunteer

Volunteers at the Arthur Nagel Community Clinic are an important part of the clinic's family that includes board, staff, and volunteers dedicated to providing a safe medical home for low-income, uninsured Bandera County residents.  In fact, the clinic depends on its volunteers.  And there are dozens of things you could do to make a difference.  Volunteering could help you hone your medical or office skills while you wait for that special job.  Or if you are retired, you can share your many talents with the community.  The clinic looks for volunteers who have nursing or lab backgrounds, medical office experience, reception or computer skills, or the ability to translate for Spanish-speaking patients.  The clinic also has events, where a smiling face and a cheery welcome are the only skills you need.

If you are interested in volunteering at the Arthur Nagel Community Clinic, please drop a note to the clinic.  Let us know what special skills you could bring to the important work that goes helps support healthcare in Bandera County.  If you do not have email, please call the clinic at 830-796-3448 and ask to speak to the Executive Director about volunteer opportunities.

Thank you for sharing yourself!

  • Do you have talents for office work? The clinic always needs help with filing, mailing newsletters, and just the general needs of any business. If you have experience, would you be willing to volunteer? Help is needed half-a-day each week, and when called to help with newsletter mailings. Does this describe you? Send email to the clinic to find out if your skills and the clinic's needs match.

  • Are you interested in learning about running a successful special event? The clinic has annual health fairs, races, and fundraising events that need more help than the staff can provide. Are you willing to help out? Let the clinic know your interests, and we'll find a way to get you involved. Send email today!

  • Interns usually come to the clinic through their educational institutions. If you are in college and need an internship as part of your higher education, please email the clinic about your interests.

  • Mentors

Do you have some expertise to share? If you're a retired medical professional, you may be able to help the clinic staff by sharing what you know. Please call the executive director, 830-796-3448, for more information.

  • The Arthur Nagel Clinic has several events each year to promote health in Bandera County. If you have some free time, you may want to Run for a Cure, Walk to Support Diabetes, or be part of the event team that welcome visitors to these events and to Family Fun Days throughout the year. Send the clinic email to see what's next on the calendar.

  • Do you know about the clinic? Or about health? If you're an expert in medicine, healthy eating, active living, or have other information that might be of interest to the community, please email the clinic and let us know what you'd like to talk about.
